This photo is of a church just around the corner from my new flat. Around the front facade, up high, are several dozen statues of what I'm assuming to be are saints? They're quite creepy-looking, especially the guy holding the skull!
I love the details that you find in architecture here. Besides the statues here, notice the face carved into the wall behind (looks like it's blowing wind) as well as the flowers above and the pink colour. You just don't see this kind of attention to detail in modern architecture anymore. I love the fact in Prague I can bathe in these architectural gems and little treasures adorning every building. Every corner reveals something special and undiscovered, like the whole city is one giant chest of gems. An urban historian's dream come true. :-)

I'd say note the name of that church and do a search online and you'll find out why this man is holding a skull ;).

Scotty, I have to tell you that I love that you're doing this. I'm a photography adict (as you'll discover in may!) and so I adore that you're taking the time to really get to know your new home. Keep it up love. xox

I love Prague. Beautiful architecture. I dont like the saint holding the skull.
