I teach at the headquarters for Komercni Banka out near Vysocanska, and it's a lovely pink and rose-coloured building. Apparently it used to be some offices for the Communists, although I'm not sure if that's true or if it was still pink then. If so, then this would *definitely* be the cheeriest piece of post-Communist architecture that I've come across yet!
Why do you think we call them "pinko commies"? Clearly, there must be a reason - perhaps you've found it.
By the way, I looked at your blog today with the intention of yelling at you to post, as I am anxious to see more of Prague. (Not that I am a model blogger myself!) Quite glad to see that you beat me to it - very nice pics! I particularly like the one of the guy on the upside-down horse. If you ever find out the story for that one, I'd love to know.
Oh, and it's funny, there are some pictures you have, like the view out your window, the graffiti, some architecture, that I swear could be Buenos Aires. Funny, how strong the general European influence must be here.
