I had the day off of work today, and it was kind of a gloomy day, so I decided to visit the National Gallery. It's in Holesovice in what has got to be *the* best example of pure functionalism that I've ever seen. It's a huge massive cavernous building, but it's perfect as an art gallery. Long rooms, white walls, bright open airy spaces... And HUGE! There's 6 floors full of modern art with a wide range to appeal to everyone. They even have Klimt's "The Virgin" which is especially gorgeous. I spent 3 hours in the gallery and only saw half of it.
Anyway, outside the gallery they have these HUGE DOORS for loading trucks. They were just opening up when I was leaving so I took this shot of one of the doors.
